BESS exists to promote innovation in teaching, learning and research, so it may specifically advance education in shoulder and elbow surgery and develop the discipline further.
Primarily, we do this by holding an annual conference each June which runs for three days. The conference takes place in a different location each year and is selected by BESS members at our annual general meeting. A group of BESS members make up the ‘local organising committee’ for the meeting and along with our conference organiser, we bring together some of the greatest minds in shoulder and elbow surgery to investigate, educate and discuss the discipline.
This year we visited Leeds @Harrogate. In 2020 we will visit our Brighton team at the Brighton Centre. Will you join us? More information on our next annual meeting is available here.
