We are a group of patients, clinicians and researchers who want to help improve the care and quality of life of patients who suffer from elbow joint conditions/ disorders/ diseases.
The JLA partnerships identify and prioritise uncertainties, or ‘unanswered questions’, about the effects of treatments that they agree are the most important. The aim of this is to help ensure that those who fund health research are aware of what really matters to both patients and clinicians. These questions, if addressed by researchers, could help with the progression of modern medicine and be to the benefit of patients.
This is a collaboration between the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, British Orthopaedic Association, Leicester Shoulder Elbow Unit Charity and the James Lind Alliance.
We are asking patients, their carers/relatives and healthcare professionals about the questions about the elbow conditions they feel need answering the most, in order to improve care and recovery.
Please complete survey if you have suffered from or treated conditions such as:
- Elbow osteoarthritis;
- Inflammatory arthritis;
- Tendonitis (like tennis elbow, golfers elbow);
- Biceps or triceps tendonitis;
- Elbow stiffness;
- Ulnar nerve problems;
- Chronic elbow instability;
- Biceps tendon rupture;
- Congenital elbow conditions or;
- Acute elbow fractures or dislocations;
- Diagnosis referral pathways or;
- Long term outcomes.
